Day 7 - Little Donkey
Don’s Donkey Disco called in to Central Way tonight, either side of stops in Redhill last night and Sevenoaks tomorrow as part of his world tour to Bethlehem. An exclusive crowd threw some serious moves on the dance floor. One lady, literally enjoying the “spirit” of the occasion had a thoroughly good time although repeatedly was asking about “Mary”. Many thanks to Don the DJ for some great tunes and to Adam for his gentlemanly doorman work.
PS. That’s the official bit….now from me, Phil, haphazard photographer – it was brilliant, thank you.

Day 8 - Unto Us a Child is Born... A Great Light
"Unto us a child is born... a great light."
Lantern lights led us to Kings church where we were welcomed to a live nativity scene. With a beautiful baby in arms, crib, straw bales and a collection of gentle star-lights, the scene was set for reflection. Thanks to Kings for the warm advent welcome from the December cold and hot chocolate too.

Day 9 - The Angel Visits Mary
Trading at Mary's Olde Curiosity Shop on Hoskins Road was temporarily interrupted by an important message. In fact the shop itself was full of messages and messengers. How many can you spot? Have a go at commenting at the bottom of each photo in the shop to see whether you can spot the connections. Thinking caps on...

Day 10 - Hark the Herald Angels
The angles were back and positively glowing tonight as they descended into a field (Field Court actually), while music played and people gathered at the heavenly sight. Another chance to collect a stamp in your book too. How many have you managed to collect? There are still 14 to go. Why not come and join us at the next?

Day 11 - We Three Peaks
Bluehouse Lane was temporarily transformed to become an Advent Base Camp for the 3 Peaks walking and climbing team. A huge number of well-wishers were able to view photographs from the amazing adventure, listen to the well-crafted new lyrics of 'Star of Wonder' and reflect on their our own journey of preparation in this time of Advent. (However, I do 'wonder' whether there was any artistic license used for the 'hardly a bottle of wine in sight' line! Only the team know the truth) ;-)

Day 12 - Angels
Glittering angels greeted us at Hamfield Close on the 12th, along with the famous pear tree (Alan had flown the nest this year) and some picture clues about other angels. How many can you name? Are there any you can add? :-)

Day 13 - God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
The magnificent Mummers play returns to the Oxted Advent-ure with the familiar theme but all new script. Good St George battles with evil and seems to come off worse. Can the good doctor and NHS manager resurrect St. George with potions before England falls? Only the Merry Gentlemen know the answer...
