Day 6 - F is for Fatherhood
The Field family acted out a dramatic hospital scene, where Mary and Joseph were getting ready for the new arrival in an NHS bed!
“It’s a boy!” came the excited shout at 6:50pm.
Earlier, in between Mary’s contractions; Joseph was taken aside by the doctor to discuss fatherhood
and have the difficult conversation about who was the real father.
(You can view the outcome on the OA video player page.) Congratulations Mary and Joseph - a beautiful boy.

Day 12 - L is for... 5 Lords A' Leaping
The magnificent Mummers play returns to the Oxted Advent-ure with the familiar theme but an all new script.
Good St George battles with evil again. Who will win? Can the good doctor resurrect the fallen?
Only the Lords A ' Leaping know the answer...

Day 13 - M is for... "Merry Christmas Everybody"
Sleigh bells were trumped by Ukuleles, as Advent-urers were wonderfully entertained during the second foray into Old Oxted.
There were all the favourite Christmas songs, plus some other classic family favourites such as ‘The Bear Necessities’ and ‘Bring me Sunshine’.
The finale, of course, had to be Slade’s (M is for… ) “Merry Christmas Everybody”!

Day 15 - O is for... Old-Style Christmas Carols
Today, ‘The Whisky Sours’ - a wonderful vintage-style singing group - came to Oxted to entertain the Advent-urers.
Singing through old radio mics and vintage speakers, The Whisky Sours encouraged everyone to join in with traditional carols
as well as more contemporary songs made famous by the John Lewis Christmas adverts. Enjoy!

Day 18 - R is for... Rejoice
Kings Church brought joy to Amy Road today with a colourful, musical, entertaining, puppet show.
Children and adults alike gasped at the fun-filled spectacle.
With 4 different showings (under black lights); and some great Christmas songs; there was fun to be had for everyone.
The message for the evening was clearly highlighted on the walls.
“Rejoice – Jesus is born – Rejoice.” The most important event in history needs some celebration!
Thanks Kings Church for a lovely evening.

Day 19 - S is for... songs

Day 22 - V is for... V-Fest
Oxted rocked to the headline act - ‘Skylines and the Rocket’ - for the brilliant mini V-Fest. For one hour only there was the full experience of great music, dancing, a mini mosh-pit, drizzle, refreshments and a great singalong. All this without the inconvenience of chemical loos, mud-shod feet and a 4hr wait to leave the carpark towed by a tractor! Of course, V in this case could stand for the Virgin Mary – who sang her own beautiful song in praise of God’s grace and gift to her and the world.
